Summary As we embark on a journey of growth through acquisitions and organic expansion, we need a Senior Accountant with strong audit qualifications and technical accounting abilities to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.As a Senior Accountant at GarageCo, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of our financial reporting and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Your responsibilities will include overseeing month-end close processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams on financial analyses, managing accounts payable functions, and playing a key role in ERP system migrations. By leveraging your expertise, you will contribute to the integrity and transparency of our financial operations. Duties * Maintain the accuracy of the general ledger and oversee month-end close processes, including preparation of financial statements.* Develop and refine workpapers to adhere to GAAP standards, providing a foundation for accurate financial reporting.* Collaborate with cross-functional teams on analyses and special projects, contributing valuable financial insights.* Manage and oversee the accounts payable function of one of our business units, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, vendor payments, and expense reports.* Play a key role in the migration to a new ERP system, overseeing data migration and system implementation.* Prepare schedules and documentation for the annual audit process, ensuring compliance with audit requirements and deadlines.* Implement audit recommendations and enhance internal controls to improve audit readiness and efficiency.
