The ideal candidate will have a strong background in immigration law and a passion for advocating for clients' rights.Job Overview:The Immigration Attorney will provide legal representation to clients in various immigration matters, including but not limited to Family Petitions, Asylum, Individual Hearings, SIJIS, U-Visas, and Waivers. They will manage a caseload, supervise staff, conduct legal research, prepare court documents, and represent clients in court hearings and trials. Fluency in Spanish is required for effective communication with clients.Duties:Meet with potential new clients to assess their immigration needsCoordinate case and legal strategy with team membersManage multiple instances, paralegals, projects, and deadlines efficientlyTrain and supervise staff to ensure high-quality representationPrepare and revise court documents, motions, briefs, and memorandaConduct legal research to support case argumentsStay updated on legislative changes and judicial case law in the immigration fieldMarket the law firm's immigration services to attract new clientsWork one Saturday a month with the potential for bonuses for new clients signed during those daysCross-sell various other practices within the law firm to clients as appropriateHandle court hearings and trials effectively, advocating for clients' interestsRequirements:J.D. from an ABA Accredited Law School requiredActive Bar License in Good Standing from any US State or PR requiredFluent in Spanish is required for effective communication with clients1+ year of Immigration experience preferredStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organizational and time management abilitiesEducation Certifications:J.D. from an ABA Accredited Law SchoolSkills:Strong knowledge of immigration law and proceduresAbility to manage a caseload and prioritize tasks effectivelyProficiency in legal research and writingExcellent interpersonal skills for client interactionFluency in Spanish for effective communication with clientsBenefits:Health InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceRelocation reimbursement up to $10,000 (Forgiven after 6 months)VacationsSick Time OffPerformance bonus opportunitiesPaid birthday and work anniversary401K PlanPaid ParkingLife Insurance
