A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A INSURANCE SPECIALIST The Insurance Specialist position is a member of the office staff that performs various duties for the ongoing flow of insurance verification and authorization. Essential Job Responsibilities: Obtain and submit all paperwork to insurance company for Medicaid cases Request and organize paperwork needed from appropriate office Follow up with health plans regarding authorizations Build and update plans for Medicaid clients with initiation of care and changes of payer source Work the provisional list for all offices Requirements: Experience with CCCP authorization Detailed oriented Knowledge of Home Care Insurance processes Knowledge of Medicaid and Long-Term care regulations and experience with insurance verification and authorization strongly preferred Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of an organization Ability to explain complex issues and concepts with all parties involved Ability to apply and analyze data as it pertains to quality and compliance metrics Comfortable working collaboratively in cross-functional teams Pleasant telephone manner Location: 23235, 23112, 23238 Job Posted by ApplicantPro
